“I’m not where I need to be, but thank god I’m not where I used to be.”

Reminder to self:

We, the citizens of Singapore, are getting lazy. We are so used to being spoon-fed everything, we are getting complacent and gullible. Information we received are absorbed with no filtration and consideration. Worse still, before any of that information can be digested, we turn around and vomit everything we ingested (without verification) with exaggeration.

We are the people who make up our nation, and very same people who make up our government. Posting deceitful articles or feisty comments on STOMP or TRS are not going to make our country stronger (if anything, we appear weak and divided in the eyes of outsiders). If we want to see a change, we have to make that change. Else, we should just keep our unhelpful comments to ourselves.

So, we should all do our little island a favour and remember, the next time we point our fingers at our leaders or anyone else really, there are three pointing back at each of us.

"The ability to put things in perspective, to let go when it’s appropriate, fight harder when it’s necessary, listen to people rather than just hear them, and consider opinions that aren’t congruent with your own."

On second thought, I'm glad I'm studying in NTU, because being with you > being at the most beautiful place on earth without you.

Can't wait to return to Singapore, and back into your arms x.

Took an eight-day break from berlin and fled to London two saturdays ago. That was my second trip to London this exchange, and there was still so much to see! I stayed with Shermien, my brother's first ex, my whole stay there. No, it was not awkward. It was pretty fun actually. She brought me to so many different markets and places in London, and there's not one place at which I didn't enjoy myself.

Borough Market
M&M world
Camden Market

Battersea car boot flea

Saatchi Gallery

Saturday Market at Duke of York Square

There's one more market near Liverpool station which I forgot the name. I also visited Selfridge where I got myself a new longchamp bag, and London College of Communication for a film set.

During my seven night trip, I spend two nights in dublin.

Shermien and I did a three-day trip to Dublin, which she is still blaming me for the boring location. Fine, Dublin was boring. Thankfully, we figured that it might be the case before we left London. So the day before, we booked a day-trip out to Wicklow and Glendalough.

It was so relaxing and beautiful out there. The air was so fresh (sorry, my Singapore mates, I know that the air now is bad. I'm not rubbing it in, hahahahahaha). As much as the city girl I am, I really enjoy a day out in the nature once every now and then.

Koped some of the photos from Shermien's insta, heehee x.

I couldn't visit all the places I want to visit before my time there was up. I can't wait to go back. I simply love London. There's no words to describe my love for London. I am really regretting not applying to UK for my undergrad studies. Now, I'm stuck in NTU. But next academic year is gonna be better, yay! Because wongsj will be joining me on that desolated piece of land.

Okay, that's it for now. Time to return to my futile attempt to study in this sudden Berlin heat (again, not comparing to Singapore, mates). Ciaoz.
